Beauty & Truth Documentary

Project Overview

This intimate documentary traces the life, philosophy, and creative journey of Eric J Drummond, a contemporary artist whose work stands as a testament to the enduring power of classical art in a modern world. Through personal reflection and evocative imagery, Beauty & Truth explores Drummond’s unwavering commitment to his vision and values—his belief that art is not merely a profession, but a calling. As he reflects on the risks and revelations of a life devoted to beauty and truth, the film reveals the soul of an artist who never chose art—it chose him.

“To be an artist is to make a risky choice. A choice to show the world who you are. I can’t see myself being anything else. It’s not a profession, it’s who I am.”

Film Screening

Beauty and Truth reached an important milestone with a successful public screening at TAP Centre for Creativity, a fitting venue given Eric’s role as a resident artist within the space. The event brought together members of the local arts community to experience the film in a setting deeply connected to Eric’s creative life and practice.

The screening sparked thoughtful conversation and reflection, reinforcing the documentary’s exploration of art, identity, and lived experience. Sharing the film at TAP allowed the story to come full circle, grounding it in the community that continues to shape and support Eric’s work.

We’re grateful to TAP Centre for Creativity for hosting the screening and to Film London for their support in helping bring this event to life.
